Harrison Point Lighthouse (aka Maycock's Lighthouse) is one of Barbados' four lighthouses. It is a concrete block tower, with a white gallery and a red lantern 85ft / 26m in height. It has a focal plane of 193ft / 59m with two white flashes every 15 seconds.
The grounds surrounding the Harrison Point Lighthouse was used as a temporary prison, causing the wiring to be disconnected. Although it is no longer the home of a prison the wiring is still awaiting reconnection.
This lighthouse has been in existence since 1925 and is located at Harrison Point the most north-westerly point of the island in the parish of St Lucy.
