Mahogany Bay Beach in Barbados you will experience calm clear waters, usually with little to no undertow.
Mahogany Bay beach is ideal for swimming and snorkelling, and offers a beautiful sunset view in the evening as catamarans sail along the coastline. There are also some natural pools in this area surrounded by coral reefs to explore.
Located beachfront at this beach is a small fishing complex with a fish market which is part of the Paynes Bay fishing village. Further inland to the south is the
Cubana Monument.
This bay is one of the few remaining windows to the sea on the west coast.
Mahogany Bay beach can be found on the Caribbean Sea side of the island, on the
West Coast of Barbados in the parish of St James.
CAUTION - DO NOT TOUCH the Manchineel Tree or its Fruits. (POISONOUS - Causes BLISTERS) - DO NOT STAND UNDER the Manchineel Tree when it’s raining. (liquid from tree may cause BLISTERING) (The tree has green shiny leaves - The fruit is small apple–shaped – The tree is usually marked by red bands) - Where there is wateresports activities persons should be cautious when entering outside the area marked with orange coloured buoysPublic access to beach: Vehicular and Pedestrian access (Look for the Obelisk or the fish market - Parking on opposite side)
