Hidden Beaches & Quiet Beaches in Barbados

The Fun Barbados Beach guide has put together some of the best sheltered and tucked away beaches on the island, most of them small quiet secluded Bays, others isolated and sprawling.

Although some of these beaches aren't great for swimming, they all are ideal for sun tanning, romantic walks and breathtaking photos.

Batts Rock Beach - West Coast - St. Michael / St. James
Calm clear waters with some beach activity, but great for picnics and some surfing.

Beachy Head Bay: Southeast Coast - St. Philip
Medium to large waves, lots of undertow and strong currents.

Bottom Bay: Southeast Coast - St. Philip
Medium to large waves, with more large waves. STRONG CURRENTS!

Cotton House Bay: South Coast - Christ Church
Small to medium waves with lots of undertow. Great for surfing!

Cove Bay: North Coast - St. Lucy
Large waves, STRONG CURRENTS!

Crane Beach: Southeast Coast - St. Philip
Medium to large waves, with more large waves. STRONG CURRENTS!

Foul Bay: Southeast Coast - St. Philip

Freight's Bay: South Coast - Christ Church
Medium waves with some lots of undertow. Great for surfing!

Freshwater Bay: West Coast - St. Michael
Calm clear waters with beach activity.

Ginger Bay: Southeast Coast - St. Philip
Medium to large waves, lots of undertow and strong currents.

Harrismith Beach / Cave Bay: Southeast Coast - St. Philip
Medium to large waves, with more large waves. STRONG CURRENTS!

Long Beach: South Coast - Christ Church
Windy with small to large waves and Sand Dunes. STRONG CURRENTS!

Long Bay / Sam Lords Castle Beach: Southeast Coast - St. Philip
Medium to large waves, more large waves. STRONG CURRENTS!

Palmetto Bay: Southeast Coast - St. Philip
Mecluded with medium to large waves, lots of undertow and strong currents.

Rescue Beach / Surfer's Bay: South Coast - Christ Church
Medium waves with lots of undertow. Great for surfing!

Shark's Hole Bay: South-East Coast - St. Philip
Fairly calm waters close to shore, medium to large waves, lots of undertow and strong currents.
