It is located on the southern end of the Chamberlain Bridge in the capital city Bridgetown. On the Arch are projections and displays of all of the National Emblems of Barbados.
The two pillars of the Arch display the Dolphin symbolic of the fishing industry, the Pelican representing a small island named Pelican Island which existed off Barbados, later becoming part of the Deep Water Harbour Development, the National Flower from the Barbados Coat of Arms, and the Broken Trident from the National Flag.
Overhead at the centre of the Independence Arch is the Barbados Coat Of Arms, while inside the Arch is information on Barbados? Independence and the Father of Independence, the late Rt. Hon Errol Walton Barrow.
