he scenic Freights Bay
in Barbados has a sheltered beach located not far from Oistins Town fishing village
, and is a popular surf spot with the south coast crowd.
The bay here is tiny, surrounded by cliffs, and features medium waves with some undertow most of the year.
Freights Bay is also known for its spectacular cliff-top ocean view and sunsets. There is also the occasional sea turtle sighting.
Although waters here can be calm at times, it is very rocky with a small shoreline and is not well suited for swimming. However during low tide there are some natural rock pools for sea bathing.
