ituated on the Atlantic Ocean side of Barbados is
Tent Bay, a beautiful bay with a quaint little fishing village.
Close to shore at Tent Bay you will experience medium waves with some undertow and natural pools, suitable for some swimming, while further outward experiences large waves with very strong undercurrents, and is not well-suited for swimming.
This bay offers an ideal photo opportunity with its view of the rugged coastline, and the interesting rock formations and many fishing boats in the bay.
Beachfront at Tent Bay is The Atlantis Hotel, a historic property dating back to the 1800's.
This area was also once used as part of a train line for a railway, travelling from St Andrew to Bridgetown in the 1800s.
Tent Bay can be found on the East Coast of Barbados in the parish of St Joseph.
