
t the eastern-most point of Barbados you will find
Ragged Point, an amazing scenic spot with an incredible view of the rugged east coast and part of the northern coastline.
Also known as
East Point, this bay features rough sea conditions, large to very large waves with strong under-currents, and is not suitable for swimming.
You will also find a beach of white sand and some large rock formations.
This area is marked by the
Ragged Point/East Point Lighthouse and usually has some surfing activity at the south end.
Ragged Point offers an excellent photo opportunity with its lush, rustic surroundings, and battering waves on the rugged cliffs.
Just off to the north-east of this coastline is a very little uninhabited island called “
Culpepper Island”.
Ragged Point can be found on the
East Coast of Barbados in the parish of St Philip.
