Maxwell Beach in Barbados features a wide expansive beach of golden sand lined with coconut palms and beachfront holiday accommodations.
This beach experiences choppy waters, small to medium rolling waves and some undertow most of the year, with the occasional calm waters. However there is still a lot of activity from sea bathers.
Maxwell beach is located not far from the popular
St Lawrence Gap and the Dover area, and fronts
Almond Casuarina Beach Resort and
Bougainvillea Beach Resort.
A bit inland next to the entrance and car park, there is a picnic area with picnic tables and trees for shade, while on the beachfront there are watersports activities and beach rentals available.
Maxwell Beach can be found on the Caribbean side of the island, on the
South Coast of Barbados in the parish of Christ Church.
