ust west of the historic
Oistins Town you will find
Welches Beach (aka Cashell Beach), one of the most gorgeous beaches on Barbados’ south coast.
The sea conditions here can be a bit rough at times with small to medium waves and some undertow. However, this beach is still a favourite spot with sea bathers.
At Welches beach there is some watersports activity with jet skiis and wind surfing.
Welches Beach was once a tiny bay with little to no shoreline, but has since been redeveloped and now boast a spectacular expanse of beach with beautifully landscaped surroundings, and home to
Welches Boardwalk/Walkway.
This beach is what locals call a “window to the sea”, which is basically any beach or shoreline that can be seen from a major highway.
Welches Beach can be found on the Caribbean side of the island, on the
South Coast of Barbados in the parish of Christ Church.
