ust west of the historic Oistins Town
you will find Welches Beach (aka Cashell Beach)
, one of the most gorgeous beaches on Barbados’ south coast.
The sea conditions here can be a bit rough at times with small to medium waves and some undertow. However, this beach is still a favourite spot with sea bathers.
At Welches beach there is some watersports activity with jet skiis and wind surfing.
Welches Beach was once a tiny bay with little to no shoreline, but has since been redeveloped and now boast a spectacular expanse of beach with beautifully landscaped surroundings, and home to Welches Boardwalk/Walkway
This beach is what locals call a “window to the sea”, which is basically any beach or shoreline that can be seen from a major highway.
Welches Beach can be found on the Caribbean side of the island, on the South Coast
of Barbados in the parish of Christ Church.
