BARBADOS SOUTH-EAST COAST BEACHES & BAYS

South-east Coast Beach list | Accommodations | Restaurants | Shopping | Points of Interest | Other Interest | Directions

Barbados Beach Scenes The south-east coast beaches of Barbados include some of the most gorgeous and secluded beaches on the island with the ultimate in spectacular cliff-top views.

This coast is where the Caribbean Sea begins to be overwhelmed by the Atlantic Ocean. It is a more rugged coast, with the sea a bit more active than the south coast, but not as rough as the east coast or north coast. The beaches are of the purest white sand and are set against cliffs with a backdrop of palms.

Barbados south-east coast beaches are excellent for bodysurfing because of the rolling waves, but the waters can occasionally be really rough with big waves, making it unsuitable for swimming at times. The beaches themselves are great for picnicking, romantic walks or taking photos. Many of the beaches and bays on the South-East Coast are usually deserted, a bit difficult to get to and only accessible by stairs.

This coast also features the Crane Beach which was rated in the top ten best beaches in the world by Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
